I'm Phillip Lam, a 23-year-old living in Aarhus, where I study Software Technology at Aarhus University. In previous projects, I have mainly worked with full-stack development and gained experience across the entire process — from user interfaces and user experience to backend systems and the technical decisions behind them. I have also worked with other areas of software, including cybersecurity. Whatever I build, I care about creating solutions that work well and feel simple to use.
I like learning new things, trying out different technologies and turning ideas into solutions people actually use.
When I'm away from the screen, I spend much of my free time out for a run or at the gym, working toward my next PR 😉
At the Danish Technological Institute, I work primarily on frontend development while also contributing to backend systems. I build digital tools for the VA department, including a test report generator for accredited product inspections and an application for registering and tracking test samples. AI has become a central part of my work. I develop and integrate AI capabilities into the different tools while also building a dedicated AI chatbot for the VA department. These projects bring frontend, backend, and AI together to make complex laboratory workflows simpler in practice.
Panda Labs is my first venture into freelance web development. Through the agency, I focus on delivering solutions that combine thoughtful user experiences with maintainable code and strong performance. This includes careful speed optimization with the goal of achieving scores of 100 across all five Lighthouse categories.
As a frontend developer at the investment firm Wulff Group, I built tailored websites for a diverse of their companies within their portfolio. Working across different industries taught me how to translate distinct brand identities into effective digital experiences. It also significantly strengthened my user interface design skills.
TGTG Notify was a SaaS product designed to solve a specific limitation in the Too Good To Go app. Users were not notified when a Magic Bag became available. The service sent availability notifications and offered an automatic purchase feature that completed the purchase as soon as a bag was released. This saved users from constantly checking the app. My experience from Bot Supply and PandaAIO with bot protection, reverse engineering of iOS and web platforms, business, and marketing helped me take TGTG Notify from idea to launch.
Bot Supply was a SaaS platform offering a range of automation tools that helped users purchase popular sneakers from multiple retailers. At its peak, the platform had more than 1,000 active subscriptions. As the founder, I was responsible for the entire company, including product development, technology, marketing, and daily operations.
Forbidden Group was a Canadian subscription community for sneaker enthusiasts. Members received exclusive tips and insider information from retailers about upcoming popular releases. As the frontend developer, I shaped the brand's visual identity, created its user interface components, and built the member dashboard.
PandaAIO was a SaaS product that automated the purchase of popular sneakers from online retailers such as Foot Locker. The launch quickly gained momentum, and the platform reached more than 300 active subscriptions in under two months. As the full stack developer, I was responsible for technical operations. I built both the customer dashboard for subscriptions, payments, and license management and the software application distributed to users.
